Garage charged me for parts they probably didn't replace - forresthale - 06.11.2026
Picked up my car after a brake service and something felt off straight away, the pedal was softer than before. I asked for the old parts and got told they'd already been disposed of, which is convenient. This isn't the first time I've felt suspicious about a bill either. A mate sent me a list of six things to check before booking a car service and I realized I'd ignored almost all of them, including asking for old parts upfront. Now I'm wondering whether to kick up a foot or just write it off and find somewhere better. Has anyone actually managed to get a refund or resolution in a situation like this? And how do you even prove parts weren't changed after the fact
