Dear volleyball friends,
We’re TV Friesen 1865 e.V.’s Mixed Volleyball Team I, a friendly group ranging from our late 20s to early 50s. Some of us are former league players, and we play ambitious, high-level volleyball in a 5-1 system. We take our volleyball seriously, but having fun is always the priority—and there’s certainly no shortage of fun at the various recreational tournaments we play in.
During the summer, some of us regularly play beach volleyball at Beach61.
In Berlin’s recreational mixed volleyball league, we currently compete at the 2b level and regularly find ourselves near the top of the standings in our division (https://freizeitvolleyball.de/team/die-friesen/). A typical season consists of four weekend match days, with two league matches and one refereeing assignment per match day, held at the OSZ Handel multi-purpose sports hall in Kreuzberg.
For the 2026/27 season, we’re also planning to enter a team in the men’s RAN league again. This typically means 10 match days per season, with teams taking turns hosting two-match fixtures during the regular practice times of the teams in the division.
We’re therefore looking for experienced players to strengthen us at outside hitter, opposite, and setter. We’d especially love to hear from players who are also interested in participating in match days, whether in the mixed league, the RAN league, or both.
We practice on Mondays from 8:00–10:00 p.m. with a coach at the Prignitz-Schule sports hall (near Friedenau S-Bahn station), and on Thursdays from 7:30–9:30 p.m. without a coach for open play at the Gustav-Langenscheidt-Schule sports hall (near the Albertstraße stop in Schöneberg). More details are available here: https://tvfriesen.de/sportstaetten/.
If this sounds like a good fit and you have the relevant experience, we’d love to have you come by for a trial practice. You can find our contact details here: https://tvfriesen.de/volleyball/, and please contact Catha via the email link.
