Bit of a random question, but during our last training session in Berlin our gym lights kept flickering every time someone used the ball pump that plugs into the wall. It didn't interrupt the game too much, but it was definitely weird and kind of annoying.
A friend joked that the old sports hall probably needs something like an isolation transformer to keep the electrical circuits from interfering with each other. I know that's more of an electrician's topic than a volleyball one, but it made me wonder how many teams have dealt with strange hall infrastructure problems like this.
Has anyone here experienced odd power issues, flickering lights, strange noises from old equipment, or anything similar during training or match days?
Would love to hear your stories or whether your halls have any funny quirks too!
